Emmanuel Church – Stones Crossing – Painting

When Emmanuel Church – Stones Crossing in Greenwood, Indiana came to us, they faced two distinct challenges across their property. The exterior colors of their church house, youth building, and parsonage had grown faded and outdated, no longer reflecting the brand identity the congregation wanted to project. Inside, the drywall in their classrooms and hallways was bubbling up due to issues from the original contractor’s installation, a problem that worsened in areas exposed to direct sunlight and resisted every previous attempt at a touch-up.

For the exterior transformation completed in June 2021, our team of five began by pressure-washing all substrates to ensure proper adhesion. After carefully masking the surrounding surfaces, we applied a striking three-tone color scheme across the church, youth building, and parsonage, complete with a horizontal stripe running along the entire fieldhouse. We selected PPG Acrishield Max in a satin sheen for its excellent adhesion to metal, brick, and wood, as well as its superior protection against weather and sun-fade—ensuring this fresh look would last for years to come.

In January 2025, we returned to address the persistent interior drywall problems. Rather than applying another temporary fix, we tackled the root cause by repairing the damaged drywall and applying a clear sealer to stabilize the surface. We then finished the classrooms and hallways with Sherwin-Williams Emerald Interior Satin, chosen for its outstanding durability, scuff resistance, washability, and refined appearance—qualities essential for the high-traffic spaces of an active church community.

The results speak for themselves. The sleek, modern color scheme created a night-and-day difference, bringing a sense of cohesion between the church house, youth building, and parsonage that simply didn’t exist before. By aligning the exterior with the church’s brand colors and delivering lasting interior finishes, this 25,000- to 30,000-square-foot project showcases our expertise in rebranding and durable craftsmanship—the kind of quality and aesthetic appeal that the Emmanuel Church community can enjoy for years to come.
