Mooresville Town Hall – Exterior Painting

The Challenge & Our Solution

In the summer of 2022, Indiana Painting Company had the honor of restoring the exterior of Mooresville Town Hall, a cherished government landmark in Mooresville, Indiana. With the town’s 2024 Bicentennial on the horizon, this project carried special significance. Our mission was to preserve the building’s historic integrity and protect it for generations to come, and we approached the task with the care and craftsmanship such a structure deserves.

The client’s challenge was substantial: preparing more than 100 aging windows, doors, and eaves to properly receive new paint that would shield the historic structure for years to come. Working with delicate, weathered surfaces required a meticulous approach. Our team carefully removed all failing paint, then applied a primer to stabilize the old wood and ensure a strong bond between the surface and the protective top coats.

To achieve a durable, long-lasting finish, we relied on trusted, high-quality products, including PPG SealGrip and PPG AcriShield. Over the course of two weeks, our dedicated team of three to four professionals worked diligently to prime all wood surfaces and apply a premium acrylic paint built to withstand the elements and the test of time.

The result was a beautifully refreshed town hall that looked its very best in time for the bicentennial celebrations. This project reflects our deep expertise in handling historic structures and our unwavering commitment to quality. At Indiana Painting Company, we take pride in preserving the landmarks that give our communities their character, ensuring they remain vibrant for many years to come.
