Introduction

The Painter position is a key role at Indiana Painting. You are a very important part of our team when it comes to serving our customers. Your quality of service, friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and professionalism go a long way in making a memorable company in the eyes of our clients. The Painter represents the heart and soul of Indiana Painting’s Production Department. Painters who show a willingness to achieve high levels of customer production, and focus on quality have an excellent opportunity to pursue a greater role with Indiana Painting.

Customer Relations

• Ensure that the customer is greeted with a smile every time you see them.

• Answer all questions the customer may have or politely let them know you will take it up with the Team Leader – then immediately take them up with the Team Leader.

• Act friendly and accommodating to every customer no matter what kind of day they or you are having.

• The Painter is responsible for ongoing learning and growing to become masters at:

• Over-the-top customer service.

• Efficient field operations.

• Personal accountability and a team-first approach to everything we do.

Production

• Ensure that all team tools are kept in immaculate condition and are safely and securely stored every day.

• Follow all Indiana Painting standard operating procedures to the letter

• Work with the Team Leader to make sure every project runs smoothly, no scope items are left unfinished, and all work is performed up to production and quality standards.

• Communicate all needs and issues with the team leader in a timely and professional manner.

• Keep a clean and tidy work area that builds confidence in the eyes of the customer.

Self-Management

• Bring all your tools to work everyday so you are prepared for anything that might come up.

• Master the use of various software for recording information, scheduling, and communication.

• Assist in setting the highest standard of customer care:

• Keep good hygiene habits and make sure your uniform is clean and fresh.

• Work diligently towards the achievement of the Indiana Painting’s 5-Star Certification Program.

Key Skills And Qualities

Painters must display a number of key skills and qualities to be effective. This is a fast paced, sometimes hectic work assignment. Most importantly, Painter must be able to care for our customers in an exceptional way at all times, regardless of circumstances. Balancing high production with excellent customer service is the ultimate goal of the Painter.
